Section of Small Animal Medicine
Introduction
Section of small animal medicine provides outpatient service, senior student rotation, and related search to fulfill the task ofteaching hospital. Total 11 examination rooms provide 30 sections of outpatient clinic service each week. Service including general consultation as well as specialty clinics such as cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology, nephrology, oncology, infectious diseases and emergency. Infectious disease ward is located at first floor I which provide isolation and observation for contagious disease clinic service. Senior students from school of veterinary medicine are on rotation in internal medicine and average 9 students are on rotation at any given time. Internal medicine utilizes many diagnostic instruments to help making diagnosis, treating diseases. Routine ultrasonography, electrocardiography, endoscopy, otoscopy, laryngoscopy, tru-cut biopsy, paracentesis, and cystocentesis are commonly conducted at internal medicine service.
